RICHMOND, VA – Governor Glenn Youngkin and First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin today announced the donation of his second-quarter salary to Operation Light Shine, a nonprofit organization that created and promotes an approach to ending human trafficking known as INTERCEPT, or the “Inter-agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force.”
RICHMOND, VA – During Human Trafficking Month, Governor Glenn Youngkin today announced that the Commission on Human Trafficking Prevention and Survivor Support released their report on human trafficking in Virginia. On his first day in office, Governor Youngkin reaffirmed Virginia’s commitment to combat human trafficking by creating the Human Trafficking Commission through Executive Order 7.

Following the ceremonial bill signing, Secretary Kay Coles James officiated the swearing-in ceremony for the Commission on Human Trafficking Prevention and Survivor Support.

This commission will serve as an advisory council to the Governor, and make recommendations to combat human trafficking in Virginia.
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – Governor Glenn Youngkin signed more than 40 bills into law Friday including legislation strengthening school safety audits, cutting fees for sportsmen, and establishing training for law enforcement to recognize signs of human trafficking.
